• Over 60 participants engaged across six sessions
• Dedicated sessions for young people, and businesses and traders

Site A Construction - Coming Soon

Site A is being delivered by The Church Street Partnership, a Joint Venture between Westminster City Council and Mount Anvil. Mount Anvil is the main contractor delivering the site works on behalf of the Church Street Partnership.

The demolition contractor Keltbray is due to finish demolition by the end of the year. Mount Anvil, is preparing to move on site, with construction work due to begin in early 2026.

What is being delivered at Site A?

• 430 new homes, with half being affordable, and 70% of those for social rent – providing much needed homes
• A brand-new library for the community to enjoy
• New commercial spaces to bring shops and services to the area
• New public spaces and routes, including a welcoming pedestrian link

You can now view and feedback on the Construction Management Plan and Logistics Plans. We are consulting on these plans to make sure the community can help shape how construction is managed and minimise disruption.

Feedback on these plans is open until Friday 7 November.

What is a Construction Management Plan?

The Construction Management Plan is a guide for how we will carry out building work safely, on time and with minimal disruption. This also includes the Construction Logistics Plan and Environmental Management Plan. The Construction Logistics Plan explains how materials, vehicles and equipment will move on and off site safely and efficiently.

Daventry house Enterprise Space Open Day

We are happy to share that we are now welcoming proposals for the available spaces and hosting our first open day on Saturday 25 October 2025 from 11am.

About the site

The Daventry House enterprise space is a new mixed-use creative hub coming in winter 2025. Designed to support the growth of creative industries as part of Westminster City Council’s plan for a Fairer Economy. The hub offers a vibrant mix of affordable, quality workspaces and communal amenities across five split-level floors.

It will provide fully accessible workspaces for smaller independent businesses, designers, makers and entrepreneurs. It also aims to serve the wider Westminster community by offering events and facilities that encourage engagement and creative exchange.

If you cannot attend this time, or all the time slots are taken, we will also be holding an additional day in November. Please look out for further updates. You can book your slot here by scanning the QR code.

Please note that attending a viewing does not guarantee a workspace.

Lisson Grove Programme: Ongoing Conversations

The Lisson Grove Programme aims to change Orchardson Street and Lilestone Street to better serve the community. The project will replace the council building and nearby buildings on Lilestone Street with new affordable homes, a Health and Wellbeing Hub, and improved public and community spaces.

In recent months, we have held design workshops with residents to understand community needs and concerns. We looked at local examples of landscape design that worked well and others that did not. We also visited The Exchange, a community hub developed by Westminster’s Communities team, and a similar hub in Islington to gather ideas.

More than 250 residents completed our survey and gave feedback on the initial design proposals. This feedback is informing the next stages of the project. We are continuing discussions with councillors,
community leaders, and residents through more workshops on the Health and Wellbeing Hub and topics such as building height and sunlight access.

The design team is updating the proposals. We will share the latest plans in the next few months. The next newsletter will include updated designs and information on how to provide further feedback.

Den Making Workshop

Join us at The Showroom for a free hands-on workshop with artist Anna Chrystal, for young artists aged 7–12. Wednesday 29 October 1pm to 4pm.

Inspired by our exhibition I Do Nine-Tailed Fox by Korean artist Sojung Jun, the session invites young participants to explore architecture, construction, and installation art through making.

Sojung Jun’s exhibition features a large-scale inflatable sculpture, video, and digital elements that embody ideas of movement, adaptability and ecology. In response, this workshop will encourage children to imagine and create their own structures and environments while learning about how we can shape the spaces around us.
