Today, we have published our first Church Street Co-Design update, and we are inviting the community to let us know if we’re heading in the right direction.
Sites B and C aim to contribute about 700 new homes to the Church Street Masterplan (with a commitment of being at least 50% affordable, with a priority for social rent), alongside commercial, community and outdoor spaces and improved market trader storage.
In 2022, Westminster City Council pledged to work with the local community to co-design the plans for Site B and C. From February to May 2025, we listened as over 850 residents shared their views on the previous designs through Church Street Check-in and since September we have held eight public workshops, met with more than 20 local traders and businesses, run sessions with young people and visited several local groups. Over 200 attendances from individuals across a wide age range, including repeat participation.
As a result of the partnership work with the Church Street community, we’ve collectively made improvements to the plans for Sites B and C. A big thank you to everyone who has participated.
