Community Comes Together For Church Street Design Day

Thank you to everyone who came to our recent Design Day and helped shape the future of Sites B and C in Church Street. Residents, businesses, traders, community groups and local visitors came along to see the latest plans for Sites B and C and share their views on the designs.

Over the past year, the project team has worked closely with the local community to develop the Stage One design brief and concept designs. The Design Day gave local people the opportunity to see the progress made so far and provide feedback on the emerging proposals.

People viewed the latest plans, spoke to the design team and shared what they liked, what could be improved and what local people need. This feedback will help shape the next stage of the design. This builds on the collaborative work that has taken place over the past 12 months.

Take a look at the emerging design concepts below and tell us:

  • If the emerging designs are moving in the right direction
  • How we can make the plans feel even more like Church Street

Share your feedback on the Sites B & C proposals here:

We’ll keep working with local people and will share more updates in the coming months.

Site A Update

Piling work has started on site. We are also installing drainage tanks. These will help manage groundwater, rainwater and surface
water around the new development.

We expect to make changes to the hoarding on Broadley Street over the next few weeks. The work area will be separated from the public with barriers. Pedestrian access will not be affected.

As construction moves forward, some temporary disruption may be unavoidable. Thank you for your continued support while improvements are delivered, and please be assured that we will work closely with our contractors to keep any inconvenience to a minimum. The project team will get an alert if noise or vibration goes above the allowed limits.

Construction Timeline

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sean Kelly, Project Director, at [email protected] or call 07586 103 325 or why not come to our next drop in where you can speak to Amy from Mount Anvil on 6 August, 3pm to 5pm at the Regeneration Space, 56 Church Street, NW8 8ET.
