Co-design goes from Strength to Strength

The second round of co-design activities for Sites B and C is underway.
This continues the successful work that saw Church Street residents work with architects to make changes to designs for the regeneration scheme. Since March, we have held pop-up events, spoken with residents at the market and held four popular interactive workshops. In these latest workshops, we have worked with residents, traders and businesses to further shape the plans ahead of submitting refreshed plans.
There is still more design work to do before we submit a planning application in 2027. We’re committed to continuing this partnership work with you to make sure the designs for Church Street Sites B and C deliver what the community needs.

Site A Construction Update

Work on site is moving forward well. Early preparation works, known as enabling works, are now underway.
Piling works are due to begin on Monday 6 July. This is an important stage when deep foundations are put in to support the building. Noise and vibration are monitored throughout the works, and we will be alerted if levels exceed permitted limits.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Sean Kelly, Project Director at sean. [email protected], or call 07586 103325.
Lisson Grove programme Update
Following the local election in May, the Council leadership changed and the project team has been briefing the incoming Cabinet Member and deputies. The next steps, and a revised project timeline will be confirmed over the summer, and we will share dates for upcoming workshops and drop‑in sessions so residents can continue to shape the proposals.

We are looking at other venues for a small number of sessions. Please check directly with each organisation for updates on their plans during the closure.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the autumn to an improved and more accessible space. You can find out more about Lilestone Street and other hubs across Westminster at:

Introduction From New Cabinet Memeber

Following the local election, where the leadership of the Council changed hands, there has been a new appointment to the role of Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration. As a long-standing Councillor for the Vincent Square ward and a previous Cabinet Member for housing, Cllr David Harvey will be a familiar face to many residents.
‘I’m delighted to be appointed to the role of Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration. I know the difference that a high-quality home can make to the lives of residents and their families. It’s vitally important that we deliver the types of homes that people need and that we proactively maintain these homes to the highest possible standards. It was in our last term in office that the Council’s housebuilding programme was established and I know the schemes well. I’m looking forward to continuing this ambitious delivery and bringing about the investment and transformative change that will help our communities to thrive.’
