Westminster Markets Policy Refresh Survey
Would you like to take part in the Westminster’s Markets Policy & Strategy Refresh survey, which is now live on the Council’s Commonplace engagement platform.
Westminster City Council is currently reviewing and refreshing its Street Trading and Markets Policy as part of the wider Street Markets Transformation Programme. The review aims to ensure the policy is fit for purpose, supports safe, inclusive and high-quality markets, and reflects the needs of businesses, communities and the public realm across the city.
Given the important role you play in shaping local place-based policy and representing community interests, we would very much welcome your views.
For reassurance, you may find it helpful to note that we have already contacted:
- All Westminster Ward Councillors,
- Neighbourhood Forums,
- BIDs & Business alliances,
- Landowners,
- Relevant MPs, Assembly members & Queen’s Park Community Councillors
- Other Community organisations, societies, and stakeholder bodies
The survey can be accessed here: Markets Policy Review Survey
The survey will be live for 5 weeks, closing on Sunday 1st March 2026.
Feedback received will directly inform the development of the draft policy ahead of formal statutory consultation later in the year.
Thank you in advance for your support and engagement.

Today, we have published our first Church Street Co-Design update, and we are inviting the community to let us know if we’re heading in the right direction.
